Felted Soaps & Acorns

Here's a quick gift I made yesterday. I felted over some soaps and made felt balls for acorn shells that I had picked few years ago.

Christmas Cards 2011

I was not gonna make Christmas cards this year, because I just didn't seem to get anything done. I even bought (GASP!) Christmas cards from the museum store I went to.
Then... I saw a card similar to this and totally stole the idea. Unfortunately I can't remember who it was, and I can't find the video anymore. Original card had a stocking hanging with a brad instead of stamping.

These cards were really easy to mass produce (I made 26 of these). Stamp is from Hero Arts "Joy To All" stamp set, and belt buckle is a soda can tab. I had some white Wausau textured card stock that looked really nice on a Santa's coat.

Few Christmas Cards

Dimensional stickers are from "Anna Griffin Christmas Cardmaking Kit". Wasn't really too exited about the kit, but made few cards from it anyways.

Thanksgiving Treats

I have been working on these today. Gladly I only had 14 to make, but I did make four extras, just in case...
These are Hershey's nuggets wrapped with pattern paper (K&Company Autumn Days), then put in a cellophane bags, and finished with a topper. I cut little squares from Debbie Mumm's "Harvest & Holiday" paper pad, backed them with card stock, and attached to the topper. Bags are closed with two staples. I used Tim Holtz's Tiny Attacher, because it has such a small staples. It doesn't add any bulk. Strip of  paper covers the staples in front, but on the back they are showing. It doesn't bother me (I think they are kinda cute), so I left them uncovered.

Halloween Cards 2011

Here are this years Halloween cards. Very simple since I didn't have much time to put them together.
I used Martha Stewart mat pad "Elegant Witch" and her Halloween coasters, and We R Memory Keepers scrapbook pad "Spookville".

I Am Finally Back

And (almost) done with all my vacationing. I will be gone next week, but after that I can get back to crafting big time. Can't wait!

"Anything Goes" Stick Pin Swap

I have been busy with other things than crafting lately... I participated "Anything Goes" Stick Pin Swap at Paper Phenomenon hosted by Charlene. You can find her from here: Tender Heart Designs, and here: 495charlene. I finally packaged my pins today so that they are ready to go tomorrow, since I will be in Europe for the next two weeks and they are due at may 30th.

Here is my pin.

My E2 Is Here!

I got my Cricut Expression 2 today. I tried it out briefly, and so far it cuts better than my other machines.

Cricut Fifth Anniversary Challenge

I participated Provo Craft's fifth anniversary challenge, and I just learned that one of my layouts was shown on HSN.
Huge thanks to Tanya Stilwell (who I don't even know) for recording and Youtubing this. I was still sleeping so I would have missed the whole thing... Mine is the last one Jinger is showing.

Here are my entries. Pictures are really bad. I was in a hurry to take pictures before sending them off, and my lightning was really terrible.

How To Finish The Sharp End Of Your Stick Pin

Video about how to finish your stick pins when you don't want to tuck the sharp end of the pin in, or under, anything.

I used this method with my ornament toppers last Christmas: Christmas Gifts 2010

New Cards

I have been making cards again after a little break. I have been experimenting with mulberry paper. Never tried to do anything with it before, but now that I did, I love it! I also dug out my paper crimper. Can't believe I haven't used it more.

More Cards

I made these yesterday also, but it got late so I didn't get to post them.
First card has embellishment from Anna Griffin's card kit, and pattern is from DCWV.
Second card has pattern from the kit and embellishment is good old Dollar Tree dimensional sticker.

Assortment Of Cards

I purchased "Anna Griffin All Occasion Card Kit" from HSN, and made some cards with it today. I only used the flower embellishments from the kit and made my own bases and mats. Somehow I wasn't crazy about the look I got layering with just the kit.

Last card is a pattern from DCWV stack that I cut to fit a front of a card. I added some ribbon and flower embellishment because it did look very "flat" without any dimension. I have more patterns cut and ready to go. Hard part is to figure out what to add to them to jazz them up a bit.

Christmas Wreath

I wanted to share a wreath I made few years ago with stuff from Joann's after Christmas clearance. It was my first one, and I was really pleased with it. Still am.
